Jain Irrigation Systems Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply and install 5,000 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. Valued at ₹117.96 crore inclusive of GST, the project entails the end-to-end design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP agricultural solar water pumps, with a strict execution timeframe of 60 days.

The awarded empanelment falls under a prominent state-backed initiative aimed at empowering farmers with reliable daytime solar energy for irrigation. MSEDCL oversees vast power distribution networks across Maharashtra, frequently integrating decentralized renewable energy sources to reduce agricultural electricity subsidy burdens and ensure reliable water access for rural farming communities.
