Smartworks Coworking Spaces Limited has submitted an official regulatory notice dated August 14, 2026, informing the stock exchanges about a strategic capacity addition of approximately 176,285 square feet in Pune to support its ongoing business growth.
According to the web disclosures from 2025 and 2026, this expansion builds upon the company’s continuous scaling of managed office solutions across key corporate hubs in India. The newly added capacity in Pune involves an estimated investment of up to INR 28.00 Crores, financed through internal accruals, issue proceeds, or external debt, and is scheduled to be operational within August 2026. This initiative aligns with the company’s strategy to capture robust enterprise demand in micro-markets like Pune, which has seen surging office leasing activity.
Smartworks Coworking Spaces Limited is India’s prominent managed office platform, catering primarily to large enterprises, global capability centres (GCCs), and Fortune 500 companies by providing tech-enabled, flexible workspaces. In recent business updates, the company secured major enterprise wins, including significant seat commitments and high-value lease transactions in Pune and other Tier-1 cities, driving strong annuity revenues and deep client retention. During its latest announced quarterly financial results for Q1 FY27, Smartworks reported a net consolidated profit after tax of INR 13.14 Crores, reversing from a net loss after tax of INR 4.19 Crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The company’s net consolidated total income grew by 44.3 percent to INR 559.66 Crores compared to INR 387.98 Crores in Q1 FY26, accompanied by a 74 percent jump in normalised EBITDA to INR 107 Crores. The company is spearheaded by its founder and managing director, Neetish Sarda.
