The Board of Directors of Vedanta Iron and Steel Limited met on July 29, 2026, and approved the unaudited consolidated and standalone financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The financial results highlight a total revenue from operations of Rs 3,662 Crore for the current quarter, compared to Rs 3,863 Crore in the previous quarter and Rs 3,095 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net profit after tax stood at Rs 121 Crore for the quarter, registering a turnaround compared to a net loss of Rs 1,939 Crore in the previous quarter and a net loss of Rs 145 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. On a QoQ basis, revenue from operations decreased by 5.20% while net profit increased by 106.24%. On a YoY basis, revenue from operations increased by 18.32% while net profit increased by 183.45%.

Vedanta Iron and Steel Limited is an integrated iron and steel company formed following the demerger of the iron ore undertaking of Vedanta Limited, operating across the value chain from mining to the production of steel, pig iron, wire rods, TMT bars, ductile iron pipes, ferro-silicon, cement, and metallurgical coke, including running a 1.5 MTPA integrated steel plant at Bokaro via its subsidiary ESL Steel Limited.
