Craftsman Automation Limited has officially announced the commencement of commercial operations at its new manufacturing plant situated in Ludhiana, Punjab, effective from 29th June, 2026. This development follows the company’s earlier intimation dated 28th January, 2026, regarding the project’s progress.
The new facility in Ludhiana is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its manufacturing footprint and enhance its production capabilities. By establishing a plant in this strategic location, Craftsman Automation aims to strengthen its ability to serve its diverse client base, which includes major automotive and industrial equipment manufacturers in Northern India.
Headquartered in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Craftsman Automation is a leading engineering organization specializing in precision manufacturing across three primary segments: Powertrain, Aluminum Products, and Industrial & Engineering. Throughout 2025 and early 2026, the company has focused on expanding its presence in the Electric Vehicle (EV) space, particularly through the production of lightweight aluminum battery and motor housings. Recent strategic developments include the acquisition of Suprash Developers Private Limited by its subsidiary, DR Axion India Limited, in December 2025 to further support its infrastructure and manufacturing goals. The company continues to maintain strong relationships with global and domestic OEMs and has seen its industrial storage solutions segment expand into new sectors such as pharmaceuticals and cold chain logistics.
For the financial year 2025-26, Craftsman Automation reported a robust performance, with consolidated operating revenue reaching ₹8,069.27 Crores, compared to ₹5,690.48 Crores in the previous fiscal year. The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose to ₹383.99 Crores from ₹200.87 Crores in FY 2024-25. The company attracts significant institutional interest, with prominent investors such as HDFC Mutual Fund, Invesco Mutual Fund, Franklin Templeton, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority maintaining stakes in the firm. In June 2026, several of these marquee investors acquired an additional 2% stake in the company from promoter Srinivasan Ravi, reflecting continued confidence in the firm’s growth trajectory.
