Ester Industries Limited has announced a significant leadership transition and strategic updates following its board meeting on March 26, 2026. Mr. Arvind Singhania has been re-designated from Managing Director to Non-Executive Non-Independent Director and Chairman of the Board, while Mr. Vaibhav Jha has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer effective March 27, 2026. These changes are part of a broader corporate restructuring aimed at long-term growth and leadership succession.
Ester Industries is a prominent Indian manufacturer of polyester films, specialty polymers, and engineering plastics. In 2025, the company made significant strides in sustainable technology, including a joint venture with Loop Industries to establish a greenfield chemical recycling plant in Gujarat with a project cost of approximately ₹16 billion. This facility, expected to be operational by early 2027, will focus on producing sustainable polyester resin. Additionally, the company recently received a major engineering contract from Toyo for its Gujarat facility in December 2025.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, Ester Industries reported a consolidated revenue of ₹339 crore, representing a slight decline from ₹354 crore in the preceding September 2025 quarter. The company posted a net loss of ₹12.41 crore for the December 2025 quarter, which was an improvement compared to the ₹15.78 crore loss in the September 2025 quarter but a sharp decline from the ₹25 crore profit recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year (December 2024). Despite these margin pressures, the Specialty Polymer segment saw a volume surge of 46.4% during Q3 FY26. Notable investors in the company include RJ Corp, the parent company of Pepsi India bottler Varun Beverages, which holds a 2.71% stake, and Vettel International Ltd, which holds approximately 8.29%.
