Captain Polyplast Limited has received a major domestic order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply, install, test, and commission 2,000 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS). Valued at approximately Rs 47 Crores (inclusive of GST), the project falls under the PM-KUSUM B Scheme (“Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana) and includes a comprehensive five-year system warranty, repair, maintenance, and Remote Monitoring System (RMS).
The awarded project encompasses capacities of 3HP, 5HP, and 7.5HP deployed at identified farmer sites across Maharashtra, with an implementation timeline of 60 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed or work order. This contract reinforces the company’s footprint in government-driven clean energy initiatives, marking its largest single solar EPC order to date. The win follows previous successful executions for MSEDCL, showcasing robust execution capabilities and scaling potential in the high-priority agricultural solar pumping sector.
Established in 1997 and headquartered in Rajkot, Gujarat, Captain Polyplast Limited is a prominent player in the micro-irrigation industry, specializing in the manufacturing and export of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, equipment, and polyfilms across 16 Indian states and global markets. In recent years, the company has diversified into the renewable energy sector via solar water pumping and rooftop solar solutions under the PM-KUSUM scheme, alongside a strategic partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for polymer product marketing in Gujarat. To drive operational efficiencies, the firm commenced operations at a new 70,000 sq. ft. Ahmedabad manufacturing plant aimed at in-house component production.
During the financial year 2025-2026 (Consolidated), Captain Polyplast Limited reported a Total Income of Rs 419.75 Crores, an EBITDA of Rs 46.32 Crores, and a Net Profit of Rs 27.26 Crores. The company continues to prioritize scaling non-subsidy micro-irrigation, PVC pipes, and export commercial sales to optimize working capital while expanding its footprint in the renewable energy segment.
