Suzlon Energy Limited has announced that it has secured a maiden DevCo-led 201.6 MW wind order from Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited, the Independent Power Producer arm of Waaree Group. The project is set to be executed in Andhra Pradesh, involving the supply and installation of 64 units of flagship S144 wind turbine generators, each having a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.
This development follows closely behind another consecutive DevCo-led EPC order secured by the company within a week, highlighting a broader industry trend toward DevCo models for accelerated project execution and risk mitigation. Under the terms of the agreement, Suzlon will provide a comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction offering that encompasses land acquisition, turbine supply, balance of plant, commissioning, and lifetime operations and maintenance services. This major order also elevates Suzlon’s total order book in Andhra Pradesh to nearly 1 GW.
