Empowering India’s Grid: Laser Power Bags Key Order Laser Power & Infra Limited has officially announced the receipt of its first Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL)[cite: 1]. The domestic order, valued at approximately ₹4.15 crore, is for a turnkey reconductoring project in the Nalagarh Electrical Division, Himachal Pradesh[cite: 1]. The scope of the project encompasses the supply and installation of advanced High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductors to enhance power grid capacity[cite: 1]. This contract marks the first commercial deployment under Laser Power & Infra’s strategic manufacturing agreement with TS Conductor Corp., USA, which was executed in March 2025[cite: 1]. The project will utilize next-generation Aluminium Encapsulated Carbon Core Conductors (AECC) manufactured locally by Laser using proprietary pre-tensioned carbon fiber composite core technology[cite: 1]. By replacing conventional conductors, this reconductoring initiative will allow the utility to expand its transmission capacity by two to three times and drastically reduce line losses without requiring new transmission corridors or extensive tower replacements[cite: 1]. Originally incorporated in 1988, Laser Power & Infra Limited operates as an integrated manufacturer of power cables, conductors, and specialized components, supported by robust Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capabilities[cite: 1]. A key update from 2025 was the establishment of its international technology collaboration with US-based TS Conductor Corp., aimed at localizing high-efficiency grid technologies[cite: 1]. This partnership positions the company to aggressively target the rapidly growing domestic market for transmission corridor modernization and infrastructure upgrades[cite: 1]. For the financial year ended March 2025, the company delivered strong financial performance, reporting net sales of ₹2,438.46 crore. This reflects a robust revenue growth of 50.72% compared to the preceding fiscal period. Furthermore, its net profit experienced a remarkable surge of 165%, growing to ₹100.53 crore from the ₹37.94 crore reported in the prior year. The company’s shareholding structure remains heavily anchored by its promoter group, with key promoters Deepak Goel and Devesh Goel maintaining a dominant stake of over 93%.
