Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited, a prominent building materials company, has officially inaugurated a 2 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) cement grinding capacity at its Limla Cement Plant in Surat, Gujarat. This expansion, which is part of the strategic revival of Vadraj Cement Limited (VCL)—a wholly owned subsidiary acquired in June 2025—represents a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to strengthen its operational footprint in Western India.

The Limla Cement Plant’s new grinding unit was completed ahead of schedule, with the parent company financing the approximately ₹240 crore refurbishment cost through inter-corporate deposits. The facility is expected to serve as an anchor for volume growth in Gujarat and adjoining regions in Western Maharashtra, while also allowing the company to reallocate capacity from its existing Northern plants to better serve North India markets. With this addition, Nuvoco is on a clear trajectory to achieve a total consolidated cement capacity of 35 MMTPA by FY 2028.

Nuvoco Vistas is a leading building materials company with a diverse portfolio spanning cement, Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX), and Modern Building Materials (MBM). The company, which counts Niyogi Enterprise Private Ltd as its major shareholder with over 60% stake, has been actively expanding its reach, most recently through the acquisition and revival of Vadraj Cement Limited. Known for its wide range of cement brands such as Concreto, Duraguard, and Double Bull, the company continues to play a vital role in major infrastructure projects across India, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train.

In its most recent quarterly financial results for Q4 FY 2025-26, Nuvoco Vistas reported a strong revenue performance, reflecting its ongoing growth trajectory. The company achieved a consolidated revenue of ₹3,309.37 crore, marking a 22.4% increase quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and an 8.6% increase year-on-year (YoY). While net profit showed a significant recovery of 185.2% on a quarterly basis, it saw a 14.9% decline compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
