Religare Enterprises Limited is a diversified financial services holding company operating across health insurance, retail broking, and specialized lending through its subsidiaries like Care Health Insurance and Religare Finvest. In early 2025, the company underwent a major leadership transition as the Burman family, promoters of Dabur India, officially assumed the role of promoters after acquiring a controlling 25.16% stake. Significant developments in 2025 included the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) removing the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) on Religare Finvest in July 2025, allowing it to restart its SME lending business. The company also announced a strategic demerger plan in February 2026 to unlock value by separating its health insurance and financial services arms. Prominent institutional investors and the Burman family remain the key stakeholders driving the company’s “Religare 2.0” growth strategy.
