Astec LifeSciences Limited, in a board meeting held on April 13, 2026, announced significant leadership changes. The board noted the retirement of Mr. Nadir Godrej from his roles as Chairperson and Director with effect from the close of business hours on the same day. Consequently, Mr. Vishal Sharma was appointed as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Non-Independent) and designated as the new Chairperson of the Board. Further adjustments included Mr. Burjis N. Godrej stepping down as Managing Director to take on an Additional Non-Executive Director role, and the appointments of Mr. Mathew Eipe as an Independent Director and Mr. Arijit Mukherjee as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.

The notice details that Mr. Nadir Godrej chose to retire as he will turn 75 in August 2026, marking the end of a long tenure of leadership for the company. His successor, Mr. Vishal Sharma, brings 30 years of extensive experience in the specialty and process chemicals industry, having previously held senior roles at Godrej Industries Limited, Ecolab Inc., and Diversey Inc. Mr. Burjis N. Godrej’s transition to a non-executive role is intended to facilitate his deeper involvement with the parent company, Godrej Agrovet Limited. These strategic appointments are subject to the requisite approval from the company’s shareholders.

Astec LifeSciences is a prominent manufacturer of agrochemical active ingredients and intermediate products, specializing in the production of Triazole Fungicides for global and Indian markets. In recent 2025 updates, the company completed the divestment of its 26% stake in Clean Max Andes Private Limited, a solar power special purpose vehicle, to focus on its core operations. To strengthen its capital structure, Astec successfully conducted a rights issue of ₹237 crore in July 2025. Additionally, the company has commissioned a new R&D facility to enhance its product development capabilities and capture emerging global demand.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2025 (Q3 FY2026), Astec LifeSciences reported a 31.08% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹125.54 crore, up from ₹95.77 crore in the same period of 2024. The company showed signs of recovery as its net loss narrowed by 61.12% to ₹15.70 crore compared to a loss of ₹40.38 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. On a sequential (QoQ) basis, revenue jumped by 67.74% from ₹74.84 crore in Q2 FY2026. A notable institutional investor in the company is Nippon Life India Trustee Ltd, through the Nippon India Small Cap Fund, which holds a 2.36% stake as of December 2025.
