The Board of Directors of Seshasayee Paper and Boards Limited, in their meeting held on January 31, 2026, approved the appointment of Sri Anurag Mishra, IFS, as an Additional Director in the capacity of Nominee Director. This appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders through a postal ballot process.

Sri Anurag Mishra is currently the Special Secretary (Environment, Climate Change) in the Environment, Climate Change and Forests Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. He is nominated to the board by the state government, which maintains a significant interest in the company’s operations. In 2025, the company also saw the appointment of other nominee directors, including Sri Kumar Jayant, IAS, representing the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), which holds a 14.27% stake in the company.

Seshasayee Paper and Boards Limited is a leading manufacturer of printing and writing paper in India. Throughout 2025, the company focused on environmental compliance and capacity expansion, securing environmental clearance for a 20% capacity increase at its Erode plant in August 2025. Recent updates also include a major victory in a GST appeal in January 2026, which significantly reduced a tax demand from ₹712.24 lakhs to ₹16.00 lakhs.

For the last quarterly results ended December 31, 2025, the company reported a consolidated revenue of ₹386.81 Crores and a net profit of ₹15.53 Crores. Revenue for the nine-month period of 2025 stood at ₹1,118.39 Crores, a decline from ₹1,251.83 Crores in the previous year. Notable investors and major shareholders in the company include the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (14.27%), Ponni Sugars (Erode) Limited (14.02%), and Synergy Investments Pte Ltd (12.27%). In late 2025, promoter group entities such as Dhanashree Investments and Time Square Investments further increased their stakes through market acquisitions.
